Storydust ("we", "our", "us") operates the Storydust mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide and improve our service:

• Account information: Name, email address (or Apple relay email) when you create an account.
• Child profiles: Name, age, and interests of children you add. This is used solely to personalize stories.
• Voice recordings: If you use voice prompts or voice cloning, audio recordings are processed by our AI partners and stored securely.
• Usage data: Stories generated, app interactions, and preferences to improve the experience.
• Payment information: Processed by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat. We do not store credit card details.

How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalized bedtime stories for your children
• Create audio narration of stories
• Clone your voice for narration (Family plan, with your explicit consent)
• Process voice prompts from children to create stories
• Manage your account and subscription
• Improve our service and fix issues

Children's Privacy

Storydust is designed for parents to use with their children. We take children's privacy seriously:

• We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13.
• Child profile data (name, age, interests) is provided by the parent and used only for story personalization.
• Voice prompts from children are transcribed and immediately discarded — we do not store children's voice recordings.
• We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Storydust:

• OpenAI: Story text generation and text-to-speech narration.
• ElevenLabs: Premium voice narration and voice cloning (Family plan).
• Wasabi: Secure cloud storage for generated audio files.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management.
• Apple: Authentication (Sign in with Apple) and payment processing.

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Voice Cloning

Voice cloning is an optional feature available on the Family plan. When you use it:

• Your voice sample is sent to ElevenLabs to create a voice model.
• The voice model is used solely to narrate your children's bedtime stories.
• You can delete your voice profile at any time, which also removes it from ElevenLabs.

Data Storage and Security

• Account data is stored in encrypted databases.
• Audio files are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls.
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Delete individual child profiles and their stories
• Delete voice profiles
• Export your data

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data, child profiles, stories, and voice profiles are permanently deleted within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date.
